General Information
We are looking for a Service Sales Engineer for our Transformers Service Business Unit, in Geneva (Switzerland). Reporting to the Product Marketing Manager you will support the defined Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process in the assigned area.
You will be part of the Sales Team that focuses on Traction Transformer Service in Switzerland with particular responsibility for the Swiss German and German market. As Service Sales Engineer , it is your exciting tasks to facilitate the sustainable mobility transition by a cutting-edge rail product and rail service portfolio for rolling stock equipment. In this team, you will work with international peers having many years of experience within the on-board traction transformer service business for rolling stock equipment. Based in Baden, CH or Geneva, CH, the role will assume responsibility for the german and swiss german rail customers (OEM train manufacturers, rail operators, leasing companies)
Your responsibilities:
Supporting the Sales team and customers throughout the sales process, while developing new and existing business by increasing internal and external knowledge of products and markets.
Preparing technical offer in accordance with Unit portfolio and customer need. Clarifying technical and commercial aspects of the offer.
Participating in sales strategy discussions, assigning short- and long-term goals and negotiating the various Product Group sales budgets and marketing plans.
Identifying customer needs and competitor offers through market analysis, ensuring efficient marketing actions and communications demonstrate the value proposition of the products, systems, service and packages.
Supporting the area Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and providing technical support, product presentations and product/solution/service-related training.
Taking ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient customer issue resolution and analyzing the root cause of any lost proposals, to increase future competitiveness.
Performing sales performance reviews, proposing recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls and providing regular sales activity reports to assist in production planning.
Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Achieve the yearly targets for Transformer Service Sales and portfolio expansion.
Training for the first 3-6 months in our Traction Transformer Factory & Transformer Service Center (Geneva, CH)
Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
More than 2 years of experience in direct sales and sales management.
Sound knowledge of Hitachi Energy products and services.
Knowledge of rail rolling stock market and german and swiss german rail customers (OEM train manufacturers, rail operators, leasing companies) is an advantage
Fluent German and English, both written and spoken. French is an advantage.
Experience in business development, account management and cross-selling across systems, solutions, products and service categories.
Understanding of offer preparation, contract negotiation, risk management and commercial and legal terms.
Prospecting, developing, and closing deals with customer
Traveling mainly within Germany and Switzerland and European Union if needed. Frequent interaction with rail customers and HITACHI Energy European Front-End-Sales Team are expected.
Job located in Switzerland in Baden, CH (or in Geneva, CH).
Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, customer-focused mindset and a professional, “can-do” attitude
Working with Sales Tools and MS Office. Knowledge of SalesForce.com is a plus
