Boasting a varied portfolio encompassing many brands distributed in around the globe, our client stands as the worldwide frontrunner in consumer goods. To take over a global operating small finance team we are looking for a Finance Director with strong people skills.
Job Description
Overseeing the annual Statutory Close for Swiss Legal Entities, including local tax complianceEnsuring a seamless monthly closing procedureSubmitting precise budgets and estimates for shipping and warehousing costsManaging, developing, and enhancing Business Performance ReportsLeading a Finance Team consisting of approximately 7 membersConducting thorough analysis of business performance, identifying opportunities for cost efficiency, and communicating findings to key stakeholders within the local or corporate organizationSpearheading process improvements for closing procedures and Budget/Estimate submissionsActing as a Business Partner for the VP of Supply Chain and VP of Finance in SwitzerlandCollaborating with regional teams on accounting and financial prioritiesProviding financial business partnership for key transformational projectsTaking charge of the Swiss-based audit process and ensuring SOX compliance for the Swiss legal entity
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in finance or a related discipline a Swiss CPA is an advantage12 years of experience in a comparable role within international producing company preferably industrial or consumer environmentProven experience with Swiss statutory reporting and Swiss tax systemTechnical accounting expertise coupled with an advanced comprehension of distribution operations, including familiarity with company policies and internal controlsProficiency in US GAAP Accounting and adherence to Sarbanes Oxley RegulationsAbility to support the VP of Supply Chain in overseeing a complex distribution network and assisting the VP of Finance & Strategy in general finance and accounting mattersFamiliarity with payroll, pension plan, and Swiss taxation requirements; preference for candidates with SAP knowledgeProven track record in effectively managing a team of accountants and other finance professionalsEmpathetic personality with leadership skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English
