Employee Relations Specialist (50-70%) 

Your Tasks 

In this role you are responsible to advise managers on difficult people issues and support employees in HR related matters. Working collaboratively with two HR Managers, your role will be to ensure that all employees have the necessary training, information, and support to maximize their productivity within the organization. Furthermore you are responsible to manage and communicate HR policies, ensure HR practices are in line with employment laws and analyze employee data. Your role is crucial in maintaining a productive work environment and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Your main task include:

  • Liaise with line managers and provide professional HR support and advice in the areas of manpower planning, talent management and other HR matters
  • Deal with complex cases, such as redundancy, disciplinary grievances and appeals, provide respective advice, create documents as needed and manage process end to end
  • Identify and organize development opportunities for internal staff to sustain the talent pipeline
  • Ensure managers are upskilled to deal with people in a fair and effective manner
  • Support managers and employees through performance management processes and manage and administrate the year end process (including annual compensation review) end to end
  • Oversee people practices and actively adapt respective policies as needed to ensure both is legally compliant
  • Responsible for HR KPI’s and creation of diverse reports enabling HR to make evidence-based people decisions that benefit the business
  • Participate in HR ad-hoc projects

Your Profile 

  • Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related disciplines
  • Several years of work experience in an HR Business Partner/HR Generalist role
  • Financial services experience preferable
  • Sound knowledge of Swiss employment and social security law, human resource organizational policies, processes and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal and consulting skills in dealing with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Hands-on mentality with a strong sense of ownership and high personal integrity
  • A self-starter who is agile, inquisitive and keen to learn paired with a good sense of humor
  • Fluent in German and English
