Hug Engineering is looking for a Team Manager Technical Redaction (f/m/d) for its site in Elsau, Switzerland.

 

 

The main missions of the role are:

 

Team Management:

 

  • Technical & disciplinary leadership and further development of an interdisciplinary team of specialized engineers
  • Planning of the cost center and associated project budget
  • Determination of departmental targets in coordination with company targets

Operative tasks:

 

  • Designation of the document types and document contents that are created in the technical redaction department
  • Determination of editorial methods for technical redaction department e.g., Functional design
  • Content standardization of the Document types
  • Further development of editorial systems (CMS/PIM) and the XML-Structure
  • Creation of different document types, mostly Instruction and Repair Manuals according to the relevant standards & legal requirements
  • Quality assurance of the work result

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Plant Engineering, Technical writing or comparable)
  • 10 years of professional experience in the technical redaction department of an industrial company in automotive, mechanical or plant engineering.
  • Knowledge of redaction Project Management
  • Knowledge of editorials systems (CMS/PIM); XML and DTD (>15 years)
  • Knowledge of the relevant editorial standards (Functional Design, S1000D, Information Mapping, DITA, Meta-Data Classification)
  • Fluent in German & English
