As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are currently looking for a motivated and dedicated Senior Test Engineer – Measurement Chamber for a temporary assignment of 1 year, with a high probability of extension.
In this role, you will be the key technical expert focusing on the evaluation and testing of electro-mechanical hardware within the measurement chamber of next-generation Blood Gas und Electrolytes (BG/E) Analyzers. You will ensure that our medical diagnostic devices meet the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and reliability.

In this role, you will be the key technical expert focusing on the evaluation and testing of electro-mechanical hardware within the measurement chamber of next-generation Blood Gas und Electrolytes (BG/E) Analyzers. You will ensure that our medical diagnostic devices meet the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and reliability.
Tasks und Responsibilities
- Electro-Mechanical Testing: Evaluate current, voltage, clamping forces, and electrical interfaces within the measurement chamber assembly.
- Lab Instrumentation und Setup: Configure and operate advanced lab instrumentation, including encoders, oscilloscopes, and custom measurement sensors.
- Defect Ownership: Act as the primary technical point of contact for unit defects arising in Operations or within the BSL-2 laboratory environment.
- Test Development und VundV Execution: Design, prepare, and execute automated test suites and protocols for Verification and Validation (VundV) under FDA/MDR compliance.
- Automation und Analysis: Write Python automation scripts for test rigs, analyze statistical metrics, and conduct root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone).
- Degree (BSc, MSc, PhD, or HF) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in testing electro-mechanical hardware or unit verification in a regulated medical device / IVD environment (FDA/MDR).
- Deep hands-on experience using lab tools (oscilloscopes, encoders) and custom test fixtures (SolidWorks).
- Proficient in ALM tools (Codebeamer), Jira, and Python test rig scripting.
- Language Skills: Professional proficiency in English is required. Fluency or daily operational capability in German is required or highly advantageous for cross-team alignment.
