M&A Project Manager

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all aspects of M&A and divestment projects, including strategic planning, due diligence, negotiation, and signing / closing preparation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess potential acquisitions, identify synergies, and develop integration plans. Manage relationships with external advisors, including legal counsel, financial advisors, and investment banks. Conduct thorough financial analysis, including valuation modeling and scenario planning, to evaluate potential transactions and prepare informed decision-making. Ensure compliance with regulatory as well as internal requirements and alignment with strategic objectives throughout the M&A and divestment process. Provide regular updates and reporting to executive leadership and stakeholders on M&A activities and progress. Drive continuous improvement and best practices development within the M&A function, optimizing processes and maximizing value for the organization.

Requirements

A Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, preferably at an I-Bank, a Big Four firm or in corporate M&A. Strong project management skills with a proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong quantitative skill set, including in particular in financial analysis and valuation modeling. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Experience in or understanding of the chemicals industry preferred, but not strictly required.
