Latent demand for home security is high, and current penetration remains (very) low. Verisure’s track record is one of continuous, uninterrupted growth over more than 20 years. Job Description

We are looking to hire a talented, innovative, passionate Group Strategy and Development Manager to join our global Group Strategy and M&A team. The role will preferably be based in our Group Headquarters in Versoix (Geneva, Switzerland), and report into our Group Head of Strategy and M&A. (Note: depending on the candidate we might be open to Madrid as an alternative location).

You will work across the Group on topics of high impact and visibility to the whole management team, including the Group’s CEO, CFO, Chief Marketing Officer, as well as regional or country General Managers.

You will play a key role in developing a best-in-class Group Strategy function and will participate in a variety of strategy and finance projects, ranging from category & competition cartography, performance improvement initiatives, continuous inflow of M&A and strategic partnership opportunities, analysis of potential geographical expansion and adjacent business fields, and all equity and debt capital market transactions.

As Group Strategy & Development Manager you will be responsible for developing and continuously enriching a deep understanding of Verisure’s competitive environment and the category at large; generating strategic insights on the business environment, consumer expectations and fast evolving competitive context; and more importantly leading strategic groupwide and cross-country projects with direct impact on company performance and valuation. From time to time, as the company looks at a range of M&A, fundraising and equity transaction opportunities, you will lead or support the analysis of those opportunities, and help drive them to completion.

Key Job Responsibilities

Category Intelligence: continue strengthening Europe’s best intelligence department in our space. Home Security remains a little-know and little-researched sector, and bringing sharp category and competitive insights remains critical to executive and Board decisions.

Business improvement Initiatives: lead cross-group performance enhancement initiatives. Particularly with a view to sustaining / accelerating Verisure’s growth rate.

M&A: process relevant M&A and partnership opportunities. Most inbound proposals are gently turned down, some deserve pursuing from initial review to completion. Some add to our customer portfolio, others bring in state-of-the-art technologies (video analytics, Wi-Fi sensing, smart locks, AI).

Equity Storytelling: support the articulation and continuous improvement of the company’s storytelling to both equity and debt investors. Feeding general company presentations, the Groups’ annual reports, all debt Offering Memorandums, and equity transaction materials.

Swiss Knife: not all activities of the Group Strategy and M&A function can be properly identified upfront. The team is expected to be highly capable and agile, and able to run a range of projects and analyses to inform key corporate decisions; complete complex analytical exercises including advanced financial and valuation modelling; and (help) prepare management presentations and board materials.

Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

Top, successful educational background (engineering or business administration)

5+ years of experience in strategic consulting, investment banking, corporate development, VC or PE.

High EQ with high level of judgement and professional maturity.

Excellent modeling, problem solving, analytical and numerical skills.

Ability to handle well time pressure and multi-tasking in fast-paced situations.

High level of attention to detail, proactivity, and time management.

Self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively across geographies and functions.

Resourcefulness (not all data is easy to find), insights (needle in a haystack) and creativity.

Excellent execution and project management skills.

Absolutely fluent in English. French and Spanish strong pluses.
