Data Engineer

• Develop and scale robust ETL/ELT pipelines for large and complex data volumes using both code-based and visual tools
  
• Translate business processes into logical data models and contribute to building a central, cross-departmental Enterprise Data Model
  
• Implement automated data quality checks and monitor data flows from source systems to final data products to ensure full data lineage
  
• Write clean and performant code in PySpark and SQL to clean, transform, aggregate, and prepare data for further analysis
  
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and business departments to quickly turn requirements into productive data structures
  

Requirements

• Academic background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  
• Fluent in English, German is an advantage
  
• Strong knowledge of Python, especially in a Big Data context with PySpark
  
• Confident handling of complex SQL queries
  
• Good understanding of modern data architectures such as Data Lakehouse and distributed systems
  
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
