Tasks and responsibilitiesDesign and implement SQL Server solutions on-premises and in AzureDevelop database objects and automate tasks using T-SQL, SSIS, PowerShell, or C#Build and maintain reporting solutions (SSRS, Power BI)Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issuesOptimise queries, indexing, and execution plansManage backups, restores, and disaster recovery proceduresApply updates, patches, and support version upgradesImplement user access, permissions, and database security policiesEnsure compliance with internal standards and data protection regulationsWork closely with developers and system administratorsProvide technical support and guidance to internal teamsMust-have criteriaSeveral years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administrationStrong expertise in performance tuning and troubleshootingSolid understanding of SQL Server security best practicesExperience with MS SQL Server, Azure SQL, T-SQL, PowerShell, C#, SSIS, SSRS, SSASProficiency with Microsoft Windows Server environmentsNice-to-have criteriaExperience with Azure migrations or cloud-native SQL servicesKnowledge of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, or Infrastructure-as-CodeFamiliarity with virtualization, containers, or KubernetesExperience with analytics (Power BI, DAX)Knowledge of database monitoring and alerting toolsContract duration12 months with option of extensionLanguage requirementsFluent English (written and spoken)Fluent German would be a plusEmployment type:ContractIndustry:BankingArea:ITLocation:ZurichRemote from abroad?:NoHome office?:40%
