Portfolio Manager

About the Role We are looking for a Portfolio Manager to strengthen our Active Investment Office (AIO). This is a hands-on, investment-centric role at the heart of our portfolio management activities, combining investment execution, coordination, analysis, and governance. The role sits at the intersection of portfolio management, trading, and middle office, with direct exposure to senior portfolio managers and investment decision-making across multiple active strategies. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Management & Investment Execution Implement trades across client portfolios and model portfolios, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to investment guidelines Coordinate and manage trade execution across mandates, including rebalancings, tactical adjustments, and corporate actions Central Portfolio Management Support and help organize central portfolio management processes across strategies and mandates Maintain, update, and monitor model portfolios, ensuring consistency between investment decisions and implementation Track portfolio performance, risk metrics, exposures, and deviations versus benchmarks and models Investment Committees & Governance Prepare, run, and document investment committee meetings, including agendas, materials, minutes, and follow-ups Ensure investment decisions are properly documented and translated into executable actions Support governance, auditability, and investment discipline across the AIO Strategy Support & Investment Input Provide analytical input to active strategies (e.g. Global Core, Single Lines, thematic or tactical ideas) Challenge assumptions, contribute ideas, and engage constructively with senior portfolio managers Conduct security, sector, and macro-related analyses to support portfolio decisions Proposals & Client Mandates Support the preparation of investment proposals and pitch materials Assist in onboarding and ongoing management of mandates Ensure mandate guidelines are correctly implemented and monitored Systems, Tools & Data Work with Bloomberg for market data, security analysis, and monitoring Use Excel at an advanced level for portfolio analysis, scenario analysis, and reporting Quickly familiarize yourself with and operate within our portfolio management system (Evooq) Required Skills & Experience Technical & Investment Skills Strong understanding of portfolio management and capital markets Hands-on experience or strong interest in trade implementation and execution workflows Solid Bloomberg experience (data, functions, analytics) Advanced Excel skills (data handling, portfolio analysis, structured models) High attention to detail and strong operational discipline Personal & Professional Profile Highly organized, structured, and reliable Comfortable working under time pressure and managing multiple priorities Strong sense of ownership and accountability Willing and able to challenge senior portfolio managers constructively Team-oriented, communicative, and solution-driven Mindset Curious, analytical, and eager to deepen investment expertise Comfortable working across strategies, asset classes, and client mandates Interested in both investment thinking and execution excellence What We Offer A central role within an active, idea-driven investment organization Direct exposure to investment decision-making and senior portfolio managers Broad learning curve across strategies, mandates, and asset classes A professional environment that values discipline, debate, and quality execution About LeoVest Partners AG LeoVest Partners AG is an independent wealth management firm with offices in Zurich and Geneva.
