Senior IT Business Analyst – CTRM Implementation

Location: Geneva, SwitzerlandWork Model: Hybrid (on-site with limited remote flexibility)Employment Type: Full-timeRole OverviewWe are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst with deep expertise in commodity trading and CTRM systems to support a major transformation program in the soft-commodities sector.This role serves as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that system implementation, data governance, and process optimization are aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements across Finance and Risk.It's a high-impact position that combines analytical depth with leadership in process improvement across complex, multinational operations.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and project teams to gather, document, and validate technical and functional requirements for the CTRM implementation.Analyse existing workflows, identify process gaps, and design optimized solutions consistent with business and compliance objectives.Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including gap analyses, SOPs, business glossaries, and data flow maps.Support project managers and team leads in planning, tracking, and delivering implementation milestones.Define and execute test scenarios, oversee UAT activities, and validate solutions for Finance and Risk alignment.Ensure data integrity and compliance through robust governance frameworks and quality controls.Lead training sessions and user-adoption initiatives for both legacy and new platforms.Facilitate communication and alignment across business units and international time zones.Investigate and resolve complex operational or data-related issues, providing actionable insights.Drive continuous improvement and standardization of business analysis practices.Profile and RequirementsMinimum 10 years of experience as an Operations, Middle-Office, or Business Analyst in the agri-commodity trading industry.Proven success in CTRM (Commodity Trading and Risk Management) system implementation, ideally within soft-commodity environments.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or Commodity Risk.Certifications such as CBAP or PMP are advantageous.Strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle, including risk management, logistics, and finance processes.Advanced analytical, communication, and documentation skills.Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams, and business analysis tools such as Visio or Signavio.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities across cross-functional and cross-regional teams.Fluent in English (required); additional languages such as French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Vietnamese are an asset.Availability for occasional international travel during key project phases.What's OfferedHybrid working structure with partial remote flexibility.Exposure to global transformation projects within the trading industry.Professional development and long-term career progression opportunities.Supportive, collaborative culture focused on continuous learning and improvement.Comprehensive benefits promoting well-being and work-life balance.Impact and OpportunityThis role places you at the core of a major CTRM transformation — redefining efficiency, transparency, and data-driven decision-making across international trading operations.
