METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.Job DescriptionManage and lead the Middle Office team, ensuring smooth daily operations across trading and wholesale activitiesOversee the full deal life cycle, including trade capture, daily validation, amendments, rebookings, and accurate representation in systemsControl trading books, monitor exposures, physical positions, and storage completeness, and support complex flows such as LNG, storage, and cross-border capacityEnsure data quality for dependent functions, including Accounting, Risk, and Front Office, and participate in the New Product Approval processDevelop and implement new operational controls, processes, and coordinate operational excellence projectsPrepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including KPIs, P&L, and reconciliations between trading and accounting systemsCollaborate closely with Front Office, Back Office, Finance, and Treasury to maintain accurate and efficient operationsManage team development, performance, and ensure adherence to operational standards and best practicesQualificationsProven experience in middle office operations, ideally within energy trading (gas, LNG, or power markets)Strong knowledge of trade capture, validation, and deal management processesSolid understanding of risk monitoring, exposure controls, and physical positions, including storageExperience with monthly closing, reconciliation, and alignment between trading systems and accountingExperience using ENDUR, implementing and improving operational controls, processes and projectsAbility to manage and lead a team, ensuring smooth daily operations and accountabilityFamiliarity with complex trading flows, including LNG, storage, and cross-border capacityStrong reporting, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills, including with FO, BO, finance, and treasuryEnglish fluency is mandatoryAdditional InformationAn international environment and workforce with ca. 60 nationalities, with a commitment to respect, diversity and integrity Career growth and development at one of Switzerland's Top EmployersHighly competitive remuneration system, above-market earning potential via our unique performance-based bonus schemes, reflecting the value we place on dedication and resultsWork in a flat organizational structure with best-in-class industry experts, promoting individual ideas, rapid decision-making, and high accountabilityA rapidly growing company entering new markets globally and expanding its asset portfolio worldwide, with substantial investment into green energy (renewables) assets Benefit from international career opportunities and internal mobility within our 17 globally located officesEngaging annual company events, from group-level teambuilding to local entity events and festive celebrationsTop-notch office facilities
