Join our team and bring your passion and talent to work.Global Lead Data ArchitectureMännedorf, SwitzerlandYour contributionIn this pivotal role, you will be part of the extended IT leadership team, working closely with the Head of Enterprise Architecture & Governance to transform data into a strategic asset at Tecan. You will lead the development and continuous improvement of IT data management capabilities, ensuring that data governance, quality, and security standards are established and maintained across the organization.ResponsibilitiesSetting and maintaining standards for data governance, quality, access, storage, reference data, master data, integration, interoperability, modelling, and data security at TecanBuilding and leading the team responsible for the Tecan data platformEstablishing business glossaries, data dictionaries, taxonomies, and data catalogues to foster a common language and enable collaboration across the businessEnsuring data analytics is leveraged as a key strategic management tool to support business objectivesDeveloping capabilities—people, processes, and technology—to transform raw data into meaningful insights for business analysisOwning the data integration strategy to combine disparate data sources and manage master dataContinuously assessing and improving data management maturity, leveraging best practices and emerging technologiesDeveloping data models, frameworks, and end-to-end data architecturesOverseeing the design and management of enterprise data systems and guiding the selection of data technologiesManaging risks, ensuring adherence to Tecan standards, and fostering collaboration across the organizationYour backgroundWe're not just looking for hard skills: We're looking for people who bring their passion and talent to work.Bachelor's or Master's degree in business economics, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience and expertiseProven experience in leading international, multi-cultural teams and managing interdisciplinary IT projectsDemonstrated expertise in cloud data management, integration, and data analytics platforms, with a focus on AWSProficiency in integration tools such as Boomi, Mulesoft, or Kong, and experience with data lakes, business intelligence, data warehouses, and analyticsExperience working in an international environment and managing change across diverse teamsFluency in English; German language skills are an advantageCertifications in data architecture/engineering are valued, as are additional qualifications such as TOGAF 9 or COBIT, and familiarity with agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM), JIRA, Confluence, LeanIX, and SAP integrationWhat makes working at Tecan uniqueThe chance to make it count and to have an impact on the world of tomorrowWorking in an international and diverse environmentThe chance to grow your career within the companyFeel empowered by our strong and unique company cultureComprehensive compensation and benefits packageJoin Tecan, a great place to workRead about our recent certification from Great Place to Work.We're looking forward to receiving your application online.
