Corporate Restructuring Lawyer

Our client, in the retail sector, is seeking a Corporate Restructuring Lawyer to join their team on a project basis.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee and contribute to company reorganisation initiatives, taking responsibility for driving projects from initial strategy through to implementation
  • Handle all legal aspects of merger transactions, including governance requirements, drafting and reviewing key materials, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws
  • Assess potential legal exposure through detailed reviews of target entities and restructuring proposals
  • Draft, analyse, and negotiate transaction documentation, working closely with external legal advisers in various jurisdictions
  • Act as a central point of contact between legal and cross-functional teams, maintaining effective collaboration and continuity throughout complex projects
  • Deliver clear, commercially focused advice to senior stakeholders within a dynamic, global business setting

Your Qualifications

  • 5–7 years' post-qualification experience in corporate law, with solid exposure to mergers, restructurings, and corporate transactions, gained in a law firm and/or in-house setting, ideally within an international organisation
  • Strong understanding of how legal advice supports commercial objectives in an in-house context
  • Able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and remain effective under tight timelines
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-moving business environment
  • Collaborative and relationship-driven, with the ability to work effectively across functions and cultures
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a practical, solution-oriented mindset
