Our client is an
international agri-trading and processing group
, active in
vegetable oils and oilseeds
.

To strengthen its commercial desk, the company is looking for an
experienced Vegoils Trader
capable of developing and managing a
third-party trading book
, independent from its industrial assets.

Mission

The position focuses on developing
third-party physical trading flows
in
vegetable oils (crude and refined)
imports, exports, arbitrage, and long-term contracts.

The trader will be responsible for
building a profitable book
, leveraging market knowledge, and expanding the group's footprint beyond its shareholders' crushing projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a
    portfolio of third-party clients, suppliers, and partners
    in vegetable oils (sunflower, soybean, rapeseed, palm, etc.).
  • Identify and execute commercial opportunities across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
  • Negotiate and close physical deals with full responsibility for P&L generation.
  • Coordinate with logistics, risk, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Provide market insight and contribute to the group's overall trading strategy.

Profile

  • 8–15 years of proven experience
    in
    physical vegetable oil trading
    .
  • Strong
    international network
    of buyers, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to
    generate P&L
    through third-party trading (not tied to assets).
  • Deep understanding of global flows, pricing mechanisms, and risk management.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, commercial drive, and operational agility.
  • Fluency in
    English
    required;
    French or Portuguese
    a plus.
