Role Description & Qualifications

As a
Research Analyst
in Asset Management and Investment, you will play a critical role in supporting investment decision-making through detailed research, analysis, and market insights. This position focuses on identifying opportunities, assessing risks, and providing actionable recommendations that help portfolio managers optimize asset allocation and drive performance.

The Research Analyst contributes to all stages of the investment process by analyzing economic trends, financial statements, and industry developments. You will synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to develop well-founded investment theses and support long-term strategy. The role requires intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, and strong attention to detail to deliver insights that differentiate the firm in competitive markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on equities, fixed income, alternative assets, and macroeconomic conditions to inform investment decisions.
  • Analyze financial statements, performance metrics, and market data to evaluate the attractiveness and risk of investment opportunities.
  • Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support investment recommendations.
  • Monitor global market trends, policy changes, and economic developments to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare clear and concise research reports, presentations, and recommendations for portfolio managers and senior management.
  • Support portfolio construction and asset allocation by providing data-driven insights.
  • Utilize advanced data tools and analytics platforms to enhance research efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and other investment professionals to ensure alignment between research output and investment strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and valuation techniques.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and data visualization using tools such as Excel, Python, R, or Bloomberg Terminal.
  • Solid grasp of macroeconomic concepts, portfolio theory, and investment strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented, disciplined, and committed to accuracy and data integrity.
