Lecturer in Finance and Economics

Swiss School for International Relations is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated professional. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education and development of future professionals pursuing a degree in international economics and finance.

Position: Lecturer in Finance and Economics

Location: Geneva, Switzerland

Contract Type: Renewable | TBD

Workload: 2-8 teaching hours | week for the spring semester 2026

Job Mission:

* Develop and deliver courses (lectures, seminars, and workshops) related to finance and economics at the undergraduate level (Possible list of areas: Financial Programming, Derivatives, Corporate Finance, Securities, Monetary-Credit Relations, Sustainable Finance etc.)

* Create and update course materials to reflect the latest developments in the fields

* Foster an engaging and interactive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and practical application of concepts

* Facilitate partnerships and collaborations that provide students with real-world exposure and opportunities for internships or practical experience

Requirements:

* PhD in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline

* Expertise in finance with practical experience

* Proven teaching experience, preferably at the undergraduate level

* Ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner

* Proficiency in English

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* Swiss or EU citizenship or a valid work permit for Switzerland at the time of application is a pre-requisite
