Intern Retail Merchandising _Fixed-term contract 6 months

The
Intern Retail Merchandising
supports the Category Manager in managing and optimizing product categories to drive sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing market trends, and implementing strategies to enhance category performance.

Your role

Assortment/Analytics Management (Frames & Sunglasses, Lenses and Contact Lenses)

• Support the Category Manager in the assortment/product range performance monitoring
• Prepare report & analysis on the assortment performance KPIs for internal meetings
• Collect information on customer's needs, Swiss market and competitive landscape
• Use local data systems to analyse performance, pulling out key trends to show the narrative

Product lifecycle management

• Master Data key interlocutor to maintain update products information
• Interface with suppliers / internal stakeholders to collect product data
• Participate in Product documentation creation
• Contribute to NPI and discontinuation management

Presentations

• Create presentations for key stakeholders and company meetings
• Present findings of market analysis

Support the Category Manager in day-to-day operation and department's category projects

Your Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree or master's degree university, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
• Some practical experience through prior internships or professional experiences
• Category Management experience a plus
• Languages : French_Fluent; English_Fluent (C1 minimum); German_a plus
• Results driven, analytical and consumer-orientated
• Pro-active and able to work in a constantly evolving local and international environment
• Team-player with strong communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of current software systems including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• The internship is only open to people who meet the following legal requirements : Be enrolled in a school or vocational training program provided for by cantonal or federal legislation (e.g., vocational baccalaureate, college, university of applied sciences, university).
