One of our main clients based in Baar (Zug), a key player in the industry, is looking for a
Logistics Specialist
to manage all distribution and logistics activities.

Responsibilities:

  • The role manages distribution and logistics activities
  • The role has a strong operational foundation in at least one area of D&L, but has the ability to operate across all distribution and logistics operations, with the ability to manage and take responsibility for the operational delivery of complex international shipments, replenishments, order to cash process for different distribution models for customers
  • The role works closely with global supply chain and PO&T functions to ensure logistics execution. The role manages FG shipments, invoicing, shipping deviations and sales & inventory reporting and regular issues resolution meetings with cross functional stakeholders (e.g. Finished Goods Planning, Quality, Commercial, Finance, S&OP, Packaging Engineering).
  • The role routinely identifies and communicates any shipment risks to management, supports recommendations and implementation of corrective actions to minimize supply risks and works within the defined quality and compliance framework (f.e. SOX, GMP & GDP).
  • The role monitors inventory levels and changing supply chain dynamics to anticipate and plan logistics activities, understands internal and external business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish own work
  • The role analyzes cross functional and logistics processes and identifies/ implements solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of the supply chain. The goal of the role is to ensure desired customer service levels are met and to ensure continuous product supply.
  • The role has a strong understanding of all distribution and logistics activities, and can provide introductory training in all D&L functions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain related Education or Fachhochschule (Supply Chain/Export Expert "Logistikfachmann/Exportfachmann)
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years working experience in a Logistics role with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience within an international and regulated environment is required
  • Experience with Supply Chain tools: Oracle, Hyperion, PowerBI, TrackWise, SAP
  • Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt is an asset
