Sope Of The Role
As Senior QS for the project, it is your responsibility to make sure that all aspects of the job are price agreed to ensure an acceptable rate of return to Mercury.  You are also required to ensure that we maintain a sufficient history/paper trail to effectively support all payment and claim submissions.  You are required to set specific goals for your elements of the project that align with the overall project goals and manage the delivery of these goals in a forward looking and controlled manner.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role

  • Review and understanding project contract documentation
  • Preparing and analysing supplier and sub-contractor enquiries
  • Preparation and issuing of contract documents to our supply chain
  • Monitoring change in our scope of work and pricing of variations
  • Preparing and agreeing Monthly progress applications
  • Financial and contractual control of sub-contractor accounts
  • Issuing of contractual notices and evaluate loss and expense/acceleration claims
  • Providing fast, accurate, competitive and profitable estimates
  • Preparation of monthly commercial project reports
  • Provide Data and analysis of issues & risks as required by Management
  • Managing and forecasting of project Cash flows
  • Liaising with the client, main contractor and other departments
  • All other duties associated with this role

Essential Criteria For The Role

  • Academically (Degree) qualified and or relevant experience in the industry
  • 5-7 years' experience in a QS role
  • A wide understanding of work contracts
  • A working knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical Work Packages
  • Good with Figures
  • Able to negotiate with clients on a professional level
  • Experience in use of Excel a requirement
  • Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Umfang Der Rolle
Als leitender Qualitätsprüfer für das Projekt liegt es in Ihrer Verantwortung, sicherzustellen, dass für alle Aspekte des Auftrags ein vereinbarter Preis festgelegt wird, um Mercury eine akzeptable Rendite zu sichern. Sie müssen außerdem sicherstellen, dass wir über eine ausreichende Historie/Dokumentenspur verfügen, um alle Zahlungen und Anspruchseinreichungen wirksam zu unterstützen. Sie müssen für Ihre Projektelemente spezifische Ziele festlegen, die mit den Gesamtprojektzielen übereinstimmen, und die Erreichung dieser Ziele vorausschauend und kontrolliert steuern.

Hauptaufgaben Der Rolle

  • Überprüfen und Verstehen der Projektvertragsdokumentation
  • Vorbereitung und Analyse von Lieferanten- und Subunternehmeranfragen
  • Vorbereitung und Ausgabe von Vertragsdokumenten an unsere Lieferkette
  • Überwachung von Änderungen in unserem Arbeitsumfang und Preisgestaltung von Varianten
  • Vorbereitung und Genehmigung monatlicher Fortschrittsanträge
  • Finanzielle und vertragliche Kontrolle der Subunternehmerkonten
  • Erteilung von Vertragsbescheiden und Bewertung von Schaden- und Aufwands-/Fälligkeitsansprüchen
  • Bereitstellung schneller, genauer, wettbewerbsfähiger und profitabler Kostenvoranschläge
  • Erstellung monatlicher kaufmännischer Projektberichte
  • Bereitstellung von Daten und Analysen zu Problemen und Risiken gemäß den Anforderungen des Managements
  • Verwaltung und Prognose von Projekt-Cashflows
  • Abstimmung mit dem Kunden, dem Generalunternehmer und anderen Abteilungen
  • Alle anderen mit dieser Rolle verbundenen Aufgaben

Wesentliche Kriterien Für Die Rolle

  • Akademische (Abschluss-) Qualifikation und/oder einschlägige Branchenerfahrung
  • 5–7 Jahre Erfahrung in einer QS-Rolle
  • Ein breites Verständnis von Arbeitsverträgen
  • Praktische Kenntnisse mechanischer/elektrischer Arbeitspakete
  • Gut mit Zahlen
  • Fähigkeit, auf professioneller Ebene mit Kunden zu verhandeln
  • Erfahrung im Umgang mit Excel Voraussetzung
  • Ausgezeichnete analytische Fähigkeiten und Problemlösungsfähigkeiten
  • Hohe Genauigkeit und Liebe zum Detail
