For our Group Marketing Cosmetics department in Arlesheim, we are seeking to fill an internship position immediately for a duration of one year as

Global Consumer & Market Insights Intern (m/f/d) 100% (12 months)

The role

  • Actively contribute to the development and execution of consumer insights and marketing research projects.

  • Collaborate closely with various departments at Weleda, gaining valuable insights into consumer research, market trends, brand management, and product development.

  • Extract, analyze, and interpret performance data from internal databases.

  • Work alongside Weleda's global markets and external research partners, fostering international collaboration and expertise.

  • Conduct trend scouting to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the beauty and natural cosmetics industry using platforms like Mintel, Euromonitor, and social listening tools.

  • Support the planning, execution, and analysis of primary market research projects in collaboration with external research partners.

  • Prepare decision-making materials, including presentations, Excel reports, and graphics, for senior management.

  • Assist in the creation and coordination of internal consumer insights reports.

  • Help organize workshops, meetings, and events focused on consumer insights and market trends.

Your profile

  • Final-year student or graduate with a bachelor's or master's degree in marketing or a related field.

  • Initial practical experience in marketing or market research, ideally within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector or an agency environment, is a plus.

  • A high level of creativity paired with strong business acumen and the ability to interpret performance metrics.

  • Strong motivation to learn, a proactive working style, and a passion for trends, consumer behavior, and marketing strategies.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Outstanding communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Solid project management skills and a structured, organized approach to work.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Comfortable working in a global setting with fluency in English and German; additional languages are an advantage.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
