Our Application Services team is looking for a Field Application Specialist Fluid Management Technologies (x|f|m) home-based in Switzerland at Sartorius Stedim Switzerland AG. In this role you will be the technical expert for our single-use technologies in upstream and downstream bioprocessing. You will advise internal and external customers on technical inquiries and contribute to the integration of our solutions into customer processes through on-site visits. The team consists of six professionals and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you. This position is a permanent full-time position. It is a remote role requiring regular travels to our customers focusing on the German speaking part of Switzerland.

Growwithus – YourResponsibilities

  • Advising our customers by providing product and application expertise as well as technical support in the area of fluid management
  • Supporting the sales department in analyzing customer requirements and customer processes (incl. identification of optimization opportunities)
  • Preparation and conduction of trainings and presentations for internal and external customers
  • Responsibility for the generation and execution of product demos and application trials
  • Accompanying our customers during product installation and commissioning of our technologies and training for the users regarding a smooth start-up
  • Monitoring the market including new market requirements and competitor products and reporting to the Application Specialist Management
  • Support for product launches

What will convinceus

  • A successfully completed scientific degree in bioprocess engineering, biotechnology, biology or comparable qualifications in the field of life science
  • First experience in industrial bioprocess technology
  • Experience in technical consulting for customers and users is an advantage
  • Basic understanding of biopharmaceutical bioprocess technologies
  • You have knowledge in one of these areas: Liquid Transfer & Storage, Mixing, Connection & Disconnection, Freeze & Thaw and Fill & Finish in Upstream & Downstream Bioprocessing
  • Business fluency in English, verbal and written, German is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 50% across Switzerland)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, intercultural competence and proactive collaboration as well as a motivated working style with the goal to find solutions for our customers (both independently and in a team)
