Associate QC Microbiology Analyst / Laboratory Technician

We are looking for a
QC Microbiology Analyst / Laboratory Technician
to join our team in Visp and support microbial identification within our QC Microbiology department. The team is responsible for a wide range of microbiology analyses and is accountable for all microbiology activities at Lonza Visp.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of analyses and studies in QC Microbiology, with a primary focus on microbial identification (PCR, mass spectrometry) and endotoxin testing
  • Execute, evaluate, review, and report analytical results according to protocols
  • Document all laboratory activities in compliance with
    GMP
    and internal quality standards
  • Conduct and document method verifications during the implementation of new projects
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, and safety regulations
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization

Requirements:

  • Completed training as a
    Biology Laboratory Technician
    ,
    BSc in Biology
    , or equivalent qualification
  • Hands-on laboratory experience in at least one of the following: PCR, endotoxin testing, protein synthesis, bioburden
  • Experience in microbiology is an advantage
  • Familiarity with GMP is a plus
  • Flexible and able to work on varying project challenges
  • Fluent
    German
    and good
    English
    skills
  • 100% on-site presence required
