**Supervisor, Quality Control Microbiology**

Key responsibilities:

- Lead, coach, and support the professional development of scientific staff (7-9 team members).
- Coordinate resources and prioritize work packages in alignment with available capacity and project timelines, ensuring timely escalation of issues when necessary.
- Maintain and enhance existing quality and compliance processes, while implementing new systems and methodologies (e.g., Lean Lab, 6S, Hoshin).
- Oversee department-wide change controls and preventive actions, support Quality initiatives, and actively contribute to cross-functional projects at the Visp site to promote continuous improvement and sustain a competitive advantage.
- Represent the QC Microbiology department during audits and inspections for assigned projects.
- Participate in on-call duty approximately 3-4 times per year, with responsibilities carried out remotely from home.

Key requirements:

- MSc or PhD in Microbiology, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical Quality Control, with specific expertise in endotoxin and/or bioburden testing, and thorough understanding of GMP standards and requirements.
- Enthusiastic about leading a young, dynamic team; highly motivated, proactive, and committed to excellence.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, even in high-pressure situations. Enjoys collaborating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English and solid German language skills are essential.
