About the Role

For one of our international consulting clients, we are looking for a SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) Expert at Consultant level to support global trade compliance and customs management initiatives in Switzerland.

The role focuses on supporting SAP GTS implementations and enhancements, ensuring compliant and efficient international trade processes and seamless integration with SAP logistics and finance systems.

Start date: March 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Support SAP GTS implementation and rollout projects
  • Configure and support core GTS components, including compliance management, customs management, preference management and embargo/sanction screening
  • Support integration with SAP S/4HANA, SD, MM and logistics modules
  • Participate in fit-to-standard workshops and business requirement analysis
  • Support testing activities, including unit tests, integration tests and UAT
  • Support go-live and hypercare phases
  • Provide functional support to business users
  • Prepare functional documentation and support training activities

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in SAP GTS or international trade compliance projects
  • Hands-on experience with SAP GTS (GTS Edition for SAP HANA preferred)
  • Good understanding of customs, export control and trade compliance processes
  • Experience in SAP implementation or rollout projects
  • Ability to work in hybrid project environments
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Italian: fluent (mandatory)

English: fluent (mandatory)

German: nice to have (not mandatory)

Nice to Have

  • SAP GTS certification
  • Experience in Swiss or EU trade compliance environments
  • Exposure to e-commerce or high-volume international trade scenarios
  • Motivation to grow toward Senior Consultant or GTS Lead roles

Location and Working Model

  • Switzerland-based role
  • Hybrid setup with approximately 50% remote work from Lugano and 50% on-site at client location, depending on the project
