The Role

Our client, a leading quantitative Swiss hedge fund, is seeking an experienced
Systematic Execution Trader
with a strong background in
front-office trading and execution of cleared derivatives
. This role combines hands-on
systematic trading responsibilities
with
operational oversight
across the full trade lifecycle — sitting at the intersection of trading, execution, and operations.

You will work closely with
portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, and technologists
to ensure precise, efficient, and transparent execution across the firm's systematic strategies, while also maintaining operational excellence in post-trade and derivatives processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor
    systematic trading strategies
    across multiple asset classes, with a focus on
    cleared derivatives
    (futures, swaps, options).
  • Actively manage the
    execution process
    — from order generation to trade completion — ensuring best execution, low slippage, and operational accuracy.
  • Collaborate with quant and technology teams to enhance
    execution algorithms
    , order routing logic, and automation frameworks.
  • Oversee
    trade lifecycle management
    , including capture, allocation, and settlement, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Manage
    risk, margin, and collateral
    workflows for derivatives portfolios.
  • Support
    post-trade
    activities such as P&L reconciliation, performance attribution, and reporting.
  • Serve as a key liaison between
    front office
    ,
    middle/back office
    , and
    external counterparties
    (brokers, clearing firms, and administrators).
  • Drive
    process automation
    and continuous improvements to trading and operational workflows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
    in
    systematic or quantitative trading
    , with direct
    front-office trading and execution exposure
    in cleared derivatives (futures, options, swaps).
  • Strong understanding of
    derivatives markets
    ,
    systematic trading workflows
    , and
    trade lifecycle management
    .
  • Experience with
    CTA
    ,
    quantitative
    , or
    systematic multi-asset
    strategies.
  • Familiarity with
    Execution Management Systems (EMS)
    and
    Order Management Systems (OMS)
    , as well as related post-trade infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively across
    trading, operations, and technology
    functions.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a
    fast-paced, data-driven trading environment
    .
  • Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • EU/Swiss work eligibility preferred; relocation support available for exceptional candidates.
