Main tasks:

  • Establish and lead a centralized operating model for Master Data Management (MDM), defining clear roles, governance structures, KPIs, and service delivery expectations.
  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide data policies, standards, and lifecycle management for SAP master data.
  • Drive alignment of MDM strategy with the end-to-end Research & Development (R&D) supply chain and global business objectives.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing MDM team, including data stewards, process leads, and data quality analysts.
  • Set clear goals, monitor team performance, and foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the central point of contact between the R&D Division, Manufacturing Division, Quality, and IT to ensure standardized requirements and a harmonized data strategy.
  • Facilitate alignment among global stakeholders on data definitions, templates, and system standards to enable consistency and integration across functions.
  • Ensure data integrity and readiness to support automation, AI, and analytics within the GCS data infrastructure.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for SAP enhancements, tooling improvements, and data management automation to increase efficiency and reduce manual workload.
  • Oversee master data accuracy, validation, and compliance with internal governance standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Lead initiatives to improve data quality, standardization, and reliability at the point of entry.
  • Ensure robust documentation, audit readiness, and process adherence across all MDM-related activities.

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Engineering, Life Sciences, or Business Administration; advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in master data management, SAP material master governance, or supply chain data leadership, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of SAP master data structures and processes (MM, SD, PP, WM) within a global manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to design and implement centralized MDM frameworks and governance models at scale.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience working with Manufacturing, Quality, IT/SAP, and Commercial teams.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing data quality frameworks, metrics, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Hands-on experience with data validation tools, MDM platforms, SAP data migration and cleansing, and process automation initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and strategic thinking abilities to drive enterprise-wide data alignment and governance.
