About the Company
: Our client is a multi-strategy Asset Manager based in Zurich. As part of their ambitious development plan, they are looking for a Chief Risk Officer. You will contribute to the strategic and operational development of the Company. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial thinker with a passion for investment to contribute to the development of investment management business from the very early days.

About the Role
: You will be responsible for leading the risk management initiative and contributing to various strategic projects.

Responsibilities
:

  • Lead the risk management initiative creating a robust investment, counterparty, and operational risk management framework.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a cloud based IT architecture projects for the use of investment, operation, and risk.
  • Define risk analytics for a multi-asset alternative portfolio through greeks adjusted exposures, scenario analysis, stress-testing and expected shortfall.
  • Produce standard reports on investment, including P&L, risk exposures and guidelines.
  • Coordinate regulatory reporting with service providers.
  • Responsible for the ongoing monitoring of investment strategies and management of the investment guidelines workflow.
  • Monitor counterparty risk and lead onboarding process.
  • Lead onboarding process for new instrument.
  • Implement a pricing policy for valuing and listed, OTC, cash, and derivatives instruments.
  • Ability to collaborate with the front office and service providers in selecting the required valuation methods and communicating the reasoning behind their selection.

Qualifications
:

  • A degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Physics, or other science disciplines.
  • Risk Management certification is a plus.
  • Relevant market experience as well as within a risk management and executive function.
  • Broad knowledge of financial instruments, pricing, and risk modelling.
  • Technical ability to be instrumental in the development of the platform.
  • Bloomberg PORT experience.
