The Group IT & Software Development Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging technology and operations across Ultima Capital.
By combining advanced programming skills with a deep understanding of IT management, this individual transforms complex processes into seamless, automated solutions ensuring the Group operates with precision, security, and efficiency worthy of its ultra-luxury positioning.
Position Overview
The Group IT & Software Development Manager is a key leadership position within Ultima Capital SA, responsible for managing the Group's entire IT infrastructure, software development, data security, and digital transformation initiatives.
Based at the Head Office in Geneva, this hybrid role combines strategic IT management with hands-on programming and automation expertise to support the Group's vision of ultra-luxury hospitality through technology excellence, reliability, and innovation.
Acting as both guardian of information systems and developer of tailor-made digital solutions, this role ensures that Ultima's operations from property management to corporate functions are supported by secure, efficient, and intelligent technological environments.
Mission
To ensure seamless, secure, and high-performing IT operations across the Group while leading the design, development, and implementation of innovative software tools that automate processes, improve efficiency, and elevate the digital experience for both employees and guests.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Operations & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee all IT infrastructures and systems for the Head Office and Ultima properties across Switzerland, France, and Greece.
- Manage user access, onboarding/offboarding processes, hardware provisioning, and software deployments.
- Ensure continuous availability, security, and performance of all network and IT systems.
- Supervise IT vendors, service providers, and consultants, ensuring premium-level support aligned with Ultima's luxury standards.
- Implement Group-wide IT policies and best practices, ensuring consistency and reliability across sites.
2. Software Development & Process Automation
- Design and develop custom software applications, scripts, and tools to automate internal workflows and repetitive processes.
- Use programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C# to build and maintain lightweight internal systems and integrations.
- Automate data entries and reporting flows between various systems (CRM, PMS, ERP, HRIS, accounting tools, etc.).
- Develop APIs or connectors to integrate non-compatible software environments, ensuring seamless data exchange.
- Leverage AI and machine learning tools to optimize data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate existing processes to identify areas for digital transformation, turning multi-hour tasks into seconds-long automated routines.
3. Data Security, Confidentiality & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with GDPR (France/EU) and Swiss data protection regulations.
- Act as the Group Data Protection Officer (DPO), maintaining the highest confidentiality and data integrity standards.
- Manage cybersecurity protocols, firewall systems, and access controls.
- Lead incident response and data recovery procedures.
- Conduct internal awareness training on data protection and cybersecurity best practices.
4. User Support & IT Service Excellence
- Serve as the Group's primary contact for all IT and software-related questions, issues, and requests.
- Provide responsive, high-quality support in line with Ultima's culture of discretion and service excellence.
- Deliver internal training sessions to staff on IT tools, software applications, and cybersecurity awareness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for systems, codebases, and procedures.
5. Digital Transformation & Innovation
- Lead and implement digital transformation initiatives aligned with the Group's strategic goals.
- Develop automation and reporting tools to support management decisions and business intelligence.
- Introduce and manage digital solutions for smart property management and technical monitoring systems.
- Contribute to Ultima's sustainability and operational efficiency through data-driven technologies and AI adoption.
6. Collaboration & Project Management
- Work closely with the Executive Management, Finance, HR, Operations, and Property teams to align IT initiatives with business needs.
- Participate in the technical onboarding of new properties or entities within the Group.
- Plan and execute IT projects within defined budgets and timelines.
- Coordinate with technical partners and vendors for upgrades, installations, and infrastructure developments.
Profile & Skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Proven experience (minimum 5–7 years) as an IT Manager, Software Developer, or IT & Automation Lead in an international multi-site international environment or luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong programming skills in Python (mandatory), plus experience in APIs, automation scripts, and data integration tools.
- Solid knowledge of network administration, cloud infrastructures, and cybersecurity principles.
- Strong understanding of GDPR, data privacy, and confidentiality management.
- Ability to design and implement custom software solutions to improve efficiency.
- Familiarity with AI tools, low-code platforms, and automation technologies.
- Immediately available highly preferred.
- Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).
