Role Description:

The Director of Operations plays a key leadership role in establishing, managing, and scaling the operational framework of a new strategic project. This position oversees day-to-day operations, project execution, and organizational development to ensure that goals are achieved efficiently, on schedule, and within scope. The Director of Operations will work closely with senior leadership to translate strategic objectives into operational plans, manage cross-functional teams, and drive the successful launch and sustainable growth of the initiative.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing operational processes, developing key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring alignment between strategy and execution. The Director of Operations will oversee resource planning, budgeting, and performance management, ensuring that the project operates with operational excellence and financial discipline. This role involves coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders, managing vendor relationships, and fostering collaboration across departments such as finance, HR, marketing, and technology. The Director will also support governance structures, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of managing both the high-level vision and day-to-day operational details. They are results-oriented, highly organized, and possess strong leadership and communication skills. The Director of Operations must be adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and comfortable leading hybrid teams in both onsite and remote settings.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in operations, project management, or business leadership roles.
  • Proven success in building and managing operations for new or growing initiatives.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical, and financial management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with experience guiding cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and measurable results.
  • Experience managing hybrid work environments and digital collaboration tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, or similar) is an advantage.
  • High level of adaptability, initiative, and problem-solving ability.
