We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Facilities Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our buildings and properties are well-maintained and safe for all occupants. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders within the Global Facilities Organization and Local SVPs to align facility management strategies with organizational goals and employee needs. This role also involves implementing sustainability initiatives, integrating advanced technologies, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing space utilization, and enhancing employee well-being through various programs.

Role Definition

Oversees all aspects of operations, services, maintenance in support of building infrastructure requirements and employee experience within the Geneva site.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing building services and the installation and maintenance of building related systems and processes.
  • Global Facilities Alignment with Policies and Procedures / Webpages / Information / Employee Communications
  • Communicating with suppliers' technical support to address equipment or infrastructure disruptions and proactive preventative maintenance.
  • Performing routine-to-complex work for office and campus improvements.
  • Manages planning, execution and control of small to medium scope facilities projects.
  • Provides products and services to meet clients' / employee needs.

Facilities Management: Knowledge of safety measures for physical facilities; ability to maintain, care for and develop commercial and physical facilities.

  • Ability to maintain and direct 3rd Party providers to a high level of excellence in the following tasks:

  • Reception / Visitor Administration

  • Security Personnel and Control System (Lenel S2)
  • Campus / Building Maintenance and Controls
  • Janitorial / Grounds services
  • Office & Mail Services
  • Audio-Visual / IT Support
  • Fitness Center
  • Coordination of All Employee Meetings
  • Cafeteria Services Management - Offerings / Catering / Quality / Coffee
  • Car Parking, Bikes, EV Charging management
  • Utilities: Electrical, HVAC, Telecom, Back-up Power management and expenses.

Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.

  • Contracts / Purchase Orders / Invoices / 3rd party providers / Warranty management / Utilities / etc.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Emergency Management: Knowledge of emergency management tools and techniques in a manufacturing organization; ability to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from an emergency.

Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and execute multiple projects and initiatives, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

  • Participate in the Future Genilac Implementation with SIG
  • Assist in all aspects of the current building renovation project

Business Reviews – Annual Business / Capital Funding Alignment within Global Facilities Organization

  • Manage budgets and financial resources to ensure cost-effectiveness

Environment, Health and Safety

  • Office and Contractor Safety Program (Avetta Tool)
  • Office environmental projects and metrics – Utilities, Recycling, GHG, etc..

Strong Communications and collaboration Skills –

Alignment with Global Facilities Leadership and Local Business Units Key stakeholders - SVPs

  • Administer Global Facilities Enterprise Policies, Procedures, and Compliance

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Strong project management experience including communication and change management
  • Effective ability to understand business needs and mange stakeholders
  • Strong, proven interpersonal skills and ability to earn trust and credibility
  • Proven experience of working with people from different backgrounds and cultures, and the ability to influence and resolve differences and issues.
  • Exceptional ability to ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in English & French
  • Communication skills (both written and verbal) including the ability to partner and build relationships
  • 5-10+ years experience in facilities management
