For one of our clients of the Life Sciences sector, we are seeking an experienced Distribution & Logistics Operations Specialist to play a critical role in the execution and deployment of our global distribution and logistics activities. This role requires a high level of professional maturity, strong project and change management capabilities, and the ability to lead through influence across a complex, matrixed organization.

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned supply chain professional to support a multi-year transformation while ensuring operational excellence, continuous product supply, and strong customer service performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage distribution and logistics activities, ensuring reliable execution and compliance within a global supply chain environment.
  • Own the operational delivery of complex international shipments, replenishment activities, and order-to-cash processes across multiple distribution models.
  • Partner closely with Global Supply Chain and PO&T functions to ensure seamless logistics execution and alignment.
  • Manage finished goods (FG) shipments, invoicing, shipping deviations, and sales & inventory reporting.
  • Facilitate regular cross-functional issue resolution meetings with key stakeholders including Finished Goods Planning, Quality, Commercial, Finance, S&OP, and Packaging Engineering.
  • Proactively identify shipment and supply risks, communicate them clearly to leadership, and drive corrective and preventive actions within SOX, GMP, and GDP frameworks.
  • Monitor inventory levels and evolving supply chain dynamics to anticipate logistics needs and mitigate supply risks.
  • Analyze end-to-end logistics and cross-functional processes, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer service.
  • Support staged project deployment by providing hands-on guidance, training, and operational backup when needed (e.g., covering during testing phases or partial team availability).
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert across Distribution & Logistics, delivering introductory training and knowledge sharing across D&L functions.

Who You Are

  • Highly organized with strong project and program management skills.
  • Deep knowledge of distribution and logistics, with a strong operational foundation in at least one D&L area and the ability to operate across all logistics functions.
  • Experienced in change management and capable of leading complex initiatives through influence and stakeholder engagement.
  • Comfortable working in a global, cross-functional, and regulated environment.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to anticipate risks and act decisively.
  • Willing to commit to a
    2–3 year role
    supporting a strategic deployment and transformation effort.
