We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join Efor Switzerland in the Basel region. In this role, you will play a key part in a major CapEx project focused on implementing lyophilizer (freeze dryer) systems.

ABOUT THE JOB:

· You will oversee package management, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure project success from defining User Requirements Specifications (URS) to Installation and Operational Qualifications (IQ/OQ).

· Collaborate with stakeholders to define URS and ensure the alignment of project goals.

· Oversee the entire lifecycle of the lyophilizer installation, from specification to delivery and qualification.

· Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

· Conduct regular project reviews and ensure adherence to safety and compliance regulations.

· Monitor project schedules, identify risks, and drive corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.

Support the commissioning and qualification phases, with a focus on delivering a fully operational and compliant system.

· Provide thorough documentation and reporting aligned with GMP standards.

ABOUT YOU:

· A degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field (Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering preferred).

· At least 3-5 years of experience managing CapEx or technical projects, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.

· Familiarity with lyophilization processes and associated equipment is a significant advantage.

· Strong experience managing subcontractors and cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of GMP guidelines, project qualification, and validation processes (URS, IQ, OQ).

· Ability to work autonomously while maintaining excellent collaboration with stakeholders.

· Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong asset.
