Overview CAPEX Project Buyer (m/f/d) - Purchaser / Purchasing Manager / Engineering / Planning and Construction Services / Google Tools / German / English Project: For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are looking for a CAPEX Project Buyer (m/f/d). Background Within our Global Procurement - Engineering Switzerland department, you will support CAPEX projects in the procurement of engineering, planning, and construction services, as well as production and automation equipment. You will work closely with our global and regional Procurement and Customer Excellence Managers, the local project teams, and our suppliers. In close coordination with the respective project teams, whom you will advise on all procurement-related matters, you will independently manage the following procurement processes, based on the applicable procurement strategy, until the end of the contract. The ideal candidate will have completed commercial training and possess at least five years of professional experience in purchasing. Excellent MS Office and Google Tools skills are required. Strong consulting skills and excellent negotiation abilities are also essential. Fluency in German and English completes the profile. Tasks & Responsibilities Collaboration on preliminary inquiries, in close coordination with the engineering team Participation in the creation and maintenance of a central procurement plan Compilation and distribution of tenders Compilation of received offers for evaluation in the project teams Evaluation of the offers and development of a well-founded award recommendation for the project team's award decision Conducting and documenting clarification meetings and negotiations Developing award recommendations and facilitating award decisions through management Drafting contracts and purchase orders Tracking expediting tasks within the project Collaboration with controlling on change management, identifying and implementing cost-saving potential Defect and warranty management, close-out process Must-haves A successfully completed degree in business administration or engineering, or a commercial or technical apprenticeship followed by further training as a federally certified purchasing specialist/purchasing manager. At least 5 years of professional experience in purchasing, ideally for engineering, planning, and construction services, or production and automation systems. Excellent MS Office skills, experience with Google tools, and an affinity for new digital systems, especially AI-based technologies. Meticulous and detail-oriented approach to key performance indicators and information management in general Strong organizational, analytical, and conceptual skills. Excellent consulting skills and strong negotiation skills.
