The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mathematics teacher for grades 6-12 (with an Upper School focus) who engages and inspires learners through their own passion and professional practice. An ideal candidate will have significant IB Math HL/SL and/or AP Calculus/Pre Calculus experience. They will be flexible and excited to cooperate with a team of dynamic, professional Mathematics teachers to plan, deliver, and assess student-centered curriculum in a diverse international school setting. A Mathematics teacher at ZIS will hold high expectations for students and will be comfortable differentiating content and instruction in all courses.

Requirements: Applicants should have at least 3 years experience in teaching Mathematics, preferably at an international school. For non-Swiss/EU applicants, extensive international experience is required.

  • Learner-centered focus, with the ability to differentiate for diverse learning needs
  • Teaching license including specialism, Masters level study preferred
  • Documented record of excellence in teaching
  • Experience with IB Math HL/SL and/or AP Calculus
  • Integration of technology into curriculum
  • Understanding of concept based curriculum and instruction
  • Inquiry based pedagogical approach
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
