Our client is a prominent international private bank with strong roots in Switzerland and a solid presence across major financial centres. To support the growth of their investment function, they are seeking a Multi-Asset Portfolio Manager with a strong orientation toward Fixed Income to join their Geneva-based Portfolio Management team.
Position:
This role combines multi-asset portfolio construction with a clear emphasis on fixed income strategies. The ideal candidate brings 5–7 years of experience in portfolio management, enjoys working within a structured investment framework, and has also had some exposure to advisory or client-facing investment discussions during their career. You will contribute to the design and management of tailored discretionary mandates for private clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and co-manage multi-asset portfolios with a strong fixed income bias, aligned with client objectives, risk profiles and investment horizons.
- Monitor global macro, credit and equity market developments to identify opportunities across asset classes.
- Conduct issuer and instrument selection within fixed income, while contributing to broader asset allocation decisions.
- Execute trades and rebalance portfolios proactively based on market conditions and internal views.
- Assess and manage portfolio risks, applying hedging strategies when appropriate.
- Use portfolio management models, analytics, and valuation tools to support investment decisions.
- Participate in client communication: articulate investment rationale, strategy shifts, and performance drivers.
- Work closely with Private Bankers, Research, Advisory, Risk and Compliance teams to ensure quality, consistency and regulatory oversight.
- Contribute to investment reporting, presentations and the daily functioning of the investment team.
Profile:
- Higher education in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- CFA (completed or in progress) is a meaningful advantage.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience managing or co-managing multi-asset and/or fixed income portfolios, ideally within a Swiss private bank or asset manager.
- Strong understanding of fixed income markets, credit instruments, macro analysis and multi-asset allocation.
- Previous experience in investment advisory or client-oriented advisory roles is a plus.
- High proficiency with portfolio management systems, market data tools and financial analytics.
- Excellent command of English and French; Spanish is an asset.
- Collaborative, precise, reliable and comfortable working with discretion and confidentiality.
- In possession of a valid Swiss work permit or otherwise eligible to work in Switzerland (frontalier status accepted).
