What You Will Be Doing

• Using your deep expertise in educational products to guide strategic decision-making
• Crafting technical specifications that prioritize simplicity, efficiency, and long-term sustainability
• Implementing generative AI technologies to automate and optimize engineering processes, aligning with our vision to minimize manual labor

• Focusing solely on people management; your business and technical skills are crucial in this role
• Spending excessive time in meetings, committees, or administrative tasks; we've streamlined management to allow you to concentrate on hands-on work that creates business value
• Proposing high-level strategies without actionable implementation plans; your insights must derive from product-level understanding

Vice President Of Product Engineering Key Responsibilities

• Function as the CTO for one or more educational products, managing core competencies and enhancing business value through strategic execution and decision-making

Basic Requirements

• Profound experience and interest in data-driven learning science
• Over 7 years of experience in making critical architecture and design decisions on software projects, including the application of architecture patterns and significant open source technologies
• More than 2 years of experience in design decisions involving cloud computing services, primarily AWS
• At least 4 years of experience in roles with full technical and delivery ownership of a revenue-generating product
• Experience in developing product features that leverage Generative AI
• Proficiency in using Generative AI to streamline work processes

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
