JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Legal Counsel
DEPARTMENT: Legal
POSITION REPORTS TO: Chief Legal Officer
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating sale and purchase contracts (Steel, Iron Ore, Coal);
- Drafting and reviewing trade finance contracts;
- Drafting and reviewing Service Agreements;
- Advising on disputes, preparing and filing proceedings, submissions, etc. Negotiating and documenting settlements, handling customer claims;
- Day to day legal support of traders and logistic operations worldwide;
- Support with corporate matters and compliance (with sanctions and child labour laws)
Profile:
- Similar experience of at least 3 years either in a law firm, trading company or in a bank managing commodities
- Fluent in English
- Willing to work in an international environment
- Strong communications skills
- Open-minded, positive attitude and capability to work in an independent manner
- English qualified sought but not essential
- Swiss or EU nationality or valid work permit
Specific knowledge
:
· Strong experience in contract review and contract drafting.
· Experience of trade finance and corporate finance.
