**About the job**:
As a Lead Product Manager in Trust and Safety, you will play an integral role in shaping product enhancement for YouTube worldwide.
Our team is tasked with building machine learning detection and various product levers used to keep YouTube safe. We work to understand the problem space across many kinds of content (e.g. misinformation) that erode trust and safety, fighting content abuse while upholding freedom of expression. In this role, you'll work closely with groups across YouTube and Google to help make our platforms safer for everyone.
Within Trust and Safety, the Content Abuse team builds content understanding to protect users and our platform. We work to safeguard videos, live streams, comments, and other aspects of YouTube from content that violates Community Guidelines (e.g., misinformation and hate speech).
In this role, you will lead a team of Product Managers to help keep YouTube safe by driving down harmful content on the platform.
At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun — and we do it all together.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead a team of Product Managers to detect content violations in YouTube video and images.
- Understand the problem space across multiple domains of content abuse.
- Partner with engineering to employ machine learning approaches to detect content that violates YouTube's Community Guidelines.
- Drive the overall prioritization, execution, and success of complex cross-functional projects.
- Analyze data, User Experience Research (UXR), and trends to identify opportunities to improve abuse detection at scale.
