**Strategy & Business Development Manager**:

In this role you will be responsible to lead the definition and continuous refinement of ABB's (Marine & Ports Service) strategy in collaboration with the ABB's leadership team. Act as a sparring partner for senior leadership on strategic topics. Also, leads business development projects and strategic planning. This position reports to SVP Global Business Line Manager, Marine Service & Digital and functionally to the Head of Strategy and Business Development for Marine & Ports Division.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Defines and implements business (including sustainability) strategy (long term plan and annual plan), proactively challenging the status quo and offering alternative scenarios
- Identifies new business opportunities through market research and analysis
- Identifies inorganic growth opportunities and supports the active management of business portfolio, lead possible inorganic projects when identified
- Leads the development of partnerships and collaborations to enhance Marine & Ports Service & Technology market position
- Propose and lead strategic development projects for the Business Line and Division
- Ensures that competitive and market landscapes are understood by the relevant stakeholders
- Ensures proper communication of the strategy and its systematic execution
- Analyzes financial data and performance metrics to make strategic decisions
- Supports and fosters cross-functional collaboration, working with business and corporate colleagues
- Monitors industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market
- Works closely with the Service Line managers (market analysis, portfolio development, strategy)

**Your background**:

- Preferably master's degree in re field of studies
- Preferably experience from the marine or service business
- Proven experience in advising and leading different stakeholders
- Experience of business management or consulting (optional)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to make strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and negotiate effectively
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams towards common goals
- Experience in preparing presentations, reports and business case presentations
