ING Financial Markets is looking for a Sales for Foreign Exchange (FX), Rates and Commodities, with Commodities being the main focus, to be based in Geneva.

Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.
Your role
The FM Sales is the first point of contact for our clients. With a multi products approach and a focus on commodities, you are responsible for building strong client relationships and structuring new transactions. You will also need to provide best execution whilst ensuring ING’s standards are preserved in terms of risk appetite, KYC/CDD requirements and pricing hurdles among others.
As FM Sales you will have a deep knowledge and understanding of our WB value proposition. Within the broader EMEA FM Sales network and together with the Head of FM Sales Switzerland, you will be on the frontline of our business, not only as first point of contact for our clients, but also as an important sparring partner for our internal stakeholders within Sectors, Lending, Transaction Services and Strategic Products.
Your key responsibilities
- Managing the full process of transactions with our clients, including:
- Thorough, relevant and tailored pitching material
- Onboarding of counterparties in our FM systems
- Best execution on a day-to-day basis
- You will have a multi asset product scope (Rates, FX, Commodities) with strong focus on origination and execution of commodity hedges
- You will provide our clients with e-connectivity to trading platforms, with relevant updates, market colors on execution and sentiment
- You will be responsible for improving and maxizing the cross-buy of FM solutions within ING’s customer base, which requires to establish cooperation and bridges with other ING internal stakeholders
- You will be responsible for operating under our KYC guidelines and ING Orange Code
- Scope will be corporate clients in Switzerland and commodity trading houses managed by our trade commodity finance team in Geneva

Your personal profile:
- At least 5Y experience related to Financial Markets / OTC derivatives
- Prior experience in a trading commodity house is a plus
- Academic working/thinking level with a degree in economics, finance, commodities or other related fields
- Language skills in English at least, both written and verbally. Any additional language is appreciated
- Strong attention to detail, structure and rigor in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine team player with sharp commercial skills for both internal and external stakeholders
- Positive attitude and “can do” mind-set
