For the Time-Resolved Structural Biology group we are looking for a

**Technician Structural Biology (MTA/BTA)***:
70% - 100%

**Your tasks**:
Dedicated support to students, postdocs and scientists in the group as well as general management of the laboratory. Your main experimental activity will be protein production (bacterial, insect and eukaryotic cell culture) followed by biochemical characterization and crystallization. You will support collaborations with local pharmaceutical companies and perform diffraction experiments at the Swiss Light Source (SLS) and the Swiss Free Electron laser (SwissFEL). Occasionally you will join experiments at synchrotron and X-ray laser facilities in Europe, Japan or the US. Based on your interests and experience, own research projects can be implemented within the framework of the group.

**Your profile**:

- We expect a completed master degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry or vocational training as technical assistant
- You have experience with protein expression, purification and crystallization
- You enjoy working with your colleagues in a large-scale facility, which attracts researchers from all over the world
- You value flexibile working times (70% - 100%) but are not afraid to go all in when needed during important experiments
- With colleagues, you can communicate competently in English and / or German
