Our international client is a global Fortune 500 company, a leader in providing innovative consumer, commercial, and enterprise technology.

The company has its operations spread out in more than 60 countries. Their portfolio consists of high-quality, secure products and services covering personal and business hardware and software products.

They are currently looking for a **Technical Consultant **to join their dynamic team.

As a Technical Consultant, you will report to the EMEA Professional Services Director and participate in weekly collaborative planning calls, meetings with key GAT and EMEA, and market-level stakeholders.

**Job Profile for Technical Consultant**
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Coordinate server placement and network connectivity with customer internal departments, hardware installation, cable testing, cabling according to switch mapping and connection to specified power outlets, including server relocations, conversions, and server dismantling (IMAC services)
- Configure LXCA and LXCI
- Responsible for the configuration and integration of the servers into the monitoring and alarming with the corresponding events for company operation
- Maintain the management server (Jump Hosts) for monitoring and administration
- Propose firmware, software releases and UEFI settings, implement and ensure firmware versions and UEFI settings
- Manage the configuration of XCC and UEFI settings according to customer standards, and integration of the servers into LXCA and LXCI
- Perform hardware testing (power on/health check), compliance check, initial installation of ESXesxi (Windows is installed by the customer)
- Keep up to date the operational documentation provided by the customer
- Operate on site (including travel) or remotely
- Must be fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
- 1-2 years of relevant experience, with previous work in a support role is an advantage
- Hands-on experience with x86 server installation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Expertise in CPU/memory/RAID/flash storage/Blades/Data Center technologies Inc.
- Converged Infrastructure and solutions from HP/DELL/Cisco
- Working knowledge of Server Virtualisation including VMware
- Work collaboratively and complementary with other members of the Professional Services team, Hardware Sales team, Technical Sales (Presales) team, and Business Partners
- Work on a billable basis (customer paid projects)
