GRADUATE PROGRAM IN ADVISORY TEAMS AS SUPPORT TO INVESTMENT MANAGERS (18 MONTHS) (JOB NUMBER: 1 B000660) **Graduate Trainee in Advisory Teams as Support to Investment Managers (18 months)** This position will be based in Geneva on a fixed-term contract basis for a duration of 18 months. YOUR TEAM: The intern is part of a team of 10+ investment professionals covering private clients with an advisory agreement, across BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA sites and markets. He/she sits with advisors in Geneva and is close to market (front) teams. Advisors are part of the larger investment services department, along with discretionary portfolio managers or wealth planners, for example. Advisors benefit from the large network of authorised products and services, managed by so-called product specialists, who are part of the same department. DAILY WORK: The key responsibility of the intern, who is located in Geneva, is to support advisors and their management in various ways. - 1) Support investment managers (IMs) & investment advisors (IAs) (together "advisors") located in Geneva, Zurich and Lugano: - Control and facilitate all types of investment operations for advisors; - Update of various (sometimes complex) customised reports for sophisticated advisory clients - which sometimes require VBA coding skills; - Preparation of (sometimes complex) investment recommendations and proposals for advisors, based on an advisor's request; - Active participation in client portfolio reviews and preparation of client visits / calls; - Supervise maturing bonds and structured products and offer reinvestment proposals. - 2) Support the head of investment managers: - Support the head of IMs (located in Geneva) in all his requests; - Those requests might take the form of data analysis, creation of presentation for high-level committees, etc.; - One key task is to support and help develop the advisors' "dashboard", which is built with VBA. Generally speaking, the intern is required to act as a problem solver in all matters that might enhance an advisory client’s satisfaction, following a request from an advisor or management.IMs are located in Geneva, Lugano and Zurich and advise clients (with an advisory contract) with a generally moderate investment activity. IAs are located in Geneva and focus on advising clients with a usually more frequent investment / trading activity. The intern mostly works with IMs and the IMs' manager. However, depending on staffing within the IAs team, he / she might spend a significant portion of his / her time supporting IAs for certain periods of time. The internship lasts 18 months. The intern should speak and write fluent English and French. Any additional language - and more specifically German, Italian or Spanish - is a plus. He / she should know VBA (Python is a plus). PROFILE: - As an intern to the advisory teams, you will deepen your knowledge regarding the wealth management (WM) business line and BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA in general, and gain useful experience and seniority to be able to participate to the Bank’s commercial objectives and development.
