As an Investment Manager you will have an impactful and highly entrepreneurial role within our Investment team. The investment team consists of 20 people working closely together from our different offices across Europe (Zurich, Lausanne, Berlin, Paris and Cambridge). You will have the opportunity and responsibility to build and manage your own portfolio within the framework of a predefined focus industry.

**As an Investment Manager your main tasks will be to**:

- Develop and define a compelling investment strategy and thesis on your focus industry
- Screen and source the European market along your selected focus industry and identify the most impactful technologies and entrepreneurs that have the potential to shape our future
- Ensure access and participation of Verve in those often highly competitive opportunities
- Conduct legal and financial due diligences and evaluate and negotiate investments (lead
- and follower role)
- Actively support portfolio companies on their growth path up until an exit event and represent Verve’s interest at board level
- Take full ownership for business development projects within Verve and to actively shape and build the future of the company.
- Position and represent Verve Ventures as a leading European VC by attending key industry events
- Actively contribute to and support our Investors Team in fundraising activities

**Requirements**:

- You have several years of experience:

- as a venture capital/private equity investor with investments conducted from sourcing to final execution stage and own portfolio responsibility AND/OR
- at a M&A/Corporate Finance/Investment Banking firm with significant involvement in financing round execution and M&A activities in the startup space AND/OR
- as a co-founder/C-level executive in a startup that went through various rounds of venture capital funding
- Very strong analytical thinking, ability to prioritize and manage a large amount of tasks in parallel
- Entrepreneurial mindset: identifying opportunities, overcoming obstacles and make things happen
- Outstanding people and communication skills
- Full written and spoken fluency in English (German and/or French as additional language are a plus)

While we value all these points very much, don’t be discouraged if you don’t tick all of these boxes. What we value most is the ability and willingness to learn.

The position is a full time position and ideally located in our Zurich office but other locations (such as our Berlin, Lausanne or Paris office) are also possible.
