As part of Partners Group’s continuous global growth, the Private Real Estate directs team is looking to add an Investment Leader who will be responsible for sourcing and executing direct and corporate investment transactions across European markets.

**Position Summary**:
Reporting to Managing Director of Europe Private Real Estate, the Investment Leader, will be a member of the European Investment Team, and be based in Switzerland.

The role will focus on proactively identifying and managing transactions, and work to expand the sourcing network of local developers and entrepreneurial operating partners. This person will be responsible for due diligence, negotiate and finalize transactions.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Sourcing of direct and corporate real estate investment opportunities
- Manage quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective control and non-control investments
- Prepare and lead due diligence calls and asset visits with operating partners and investment managers etc
- Managing all aspects of transaction execution including working effectively with legal, technical, tax and financial experts, other stakeholders
- Review investment memoranda prepared by the investment team for Investment Committee meetings and present the investment case to the committee
- Proactive relationship building and cultivation with potential investment partners and intermediaries
- Generate thematic investments ideas and action plans for appropriate investment sourcing
- Support investment solutions team with capital raising (preparation of investment updates and attending fundraising meetings)
- Working with the asset management team on portfolio related matters including additional investment, where appropriate, and disposition opportunities
- Managing, coaching and mentoring junior investment teammates

**What we expect**

We are looking for a person who works well in a very entrepreneurial organization, someone who is a self-starter and possesses strong networking, negotiation and organization skills. We are a team and looking for a team player.
- Top academic credentials (Master’s/MBA/CFA preferred), with a coursework emphasis on Finance, Economics and/or Real Estate
- At least 7,8 years of work experience in the private real estate/private equity market with a leading investment manager or investment bank
- Existing network among the real estate investment firms, advisory, banking, intermediary community and owners/operators
- Thorough knowledge of Excel (strong real estate modelling skills required) and the ability to conduct strong risk/return investment judgement
- Knowledge of a variety of equity and debt structures is essential, as is exposure to various property types and asset classes
- Familiarity with tax structuring, legal negotiations/documentation, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and fund/deal structuring in multiple jurisdictions
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and a strong desire to learn and succeed. Further European languages would be an advantage
- Excellent networking, negotiation and business development skills
