We are seeking a **SVP of Corporate Development and AI Strategy** to partner directly with our CEO and CFO in sourcing, structuring, and executing M&A, partnership and investment deals and overseeing the execution of our AI strategy.

**Role Overview**

Reporting directly to the CFO, the SVP of Corporate Development and AI Strategy will support our Executive team in identifying, structuring, and negotiating new partnerships and strategic initiatives in the biotech sector.

The **SVP of Corporate Development and AI Strategy**will be focussed on sourcing, structuring, and executing corporate transactions and other strategic initiatives to progress the company’s business plan, including overseeing the execution of our AI platform and ecosystem strategy.

Initial experience in AI and data science is highly desirable.

The proposed role is for part-time 80%, with potential to increase to 100%.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Deal Structuring & Execution**:

- Lead due diligence on financial, tax, and commercial fronts.
- Model various structuring scenarios and advise on optimal deal terms.
- Orchestrate multiple work streams—financial, legal, operational—on long-term projects with tight deadlines.
- **Lead Advanced Financial Analysis**:

- Build, audit, and maintain complex Excel-based financial models to underpin partnership valuations and scenario planning.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses of target financial statements—P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow—and present actionable insights to C-suite.
- **Artificial intelligence and data science strategy**:

- Oversee the technical strategy, architecture and execution of our AI platform and ecosystem
- Structure technical and data partnerships with leading AI infrastructure layer providers

**Essential Experience**:

- A strong, professional track record in investment banking covering a highly regulated sector, specifically financial services, to round out our team’s expertise. Minimum 15 years of experience in investment banking. Relevant professional experience in the UK and US investment markets is highly desired.
- Experienced in leading the execution of corporate finance deals, specifically mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments and capital raises (both equity and debt), including a deep knowledge of the structure of financing instruments (minimum 10 years of experience).
- Deep expertise in financial modelling with Excel to undertake financial statement analysis - build three-statement models to understand the financial effects of corporate transactions

**Preferred technical experience**: xcube.bio is building an AI platform that truly differentiates us. This leader will play a key role in incubating the platform and overseeing the strategy and execution of this programme.

We anticipate, skills required to be:

- Prior coding experience (VBA, Python)
- Initial experience in AI and data science is highly desirable.
- Continued academic engagement and staying abreast of scientific research in AI and data science is desirable

**Education & Qualifications**:

- **Undergraduate and Master’s degrees** in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Physics, Data Science or similar) from top-tier institutions.
- Accounting qualifications (e.g., **CFA charter holder**) highly desired.
