The starting date is as soon as possible in our office on the 24th floor of the Prime Tower in Zurich.

Key responsibilities

Identify and manage risks to the organisation, its employees, stakeholders, assets and operations, and develop ERM/operational strategies and policies that will establish the framework, tools, procedures, and internal control standards to achieve successful risk identification and management within best practice standards
Oversee and monitor the enterprise and operational risk management activities of the organisation
Facilitate and coordinate regular risk and control assessments carried out by business functions; assess the current risk control structures, address any weaknesses, and produce reports to senior management (CRO and risk committee)
Perform independent risk assessments and analyses to address potential or specific new risks related to products, operations, technology or security
Develop and improve operational risk scenarios, loss data analyses, scenario analyses, key risk indicators, and risk appetite
Handle enterprise/operational risk related projects and work closely with business functions
Advise senior management on specific enterprise/operational risks and course of action to address these risks
Manage loss event reporting, incident reporting, and investigation of root causes
Manage and update the internal GRC tool (Swiss GRC)
Possess leadership presence to promote operational risk culture, and train and motivate staff to adopt new operational risk management practices
Be part of the second line of defence and maintain the second line of defence reporting line to the Group (Deutsche Börse); escalate and report operational related issues to senior management and the Group
**Requirements**:
Master’s degree in finance, economics or a technology-related discipline (computer sciences, information technology, engineering, or similar)
5+ years of financial services experience in a Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Control role - experience with one or more of the following: enterprise or operational risk management and governance / Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), GRC platforms, loss data analysis, scenario analyses, KRIs, and risk appetite
Experience in crypto and/or trading a plus
Compliance experience or knowledge of Swiss financial market regulation a plus
Good knowledge of Excel; programming skills a plus
Strong problem-solving mind-set, creative in finding solutions, structured in implementation
A dynamic person with an innovative spirit, a positive attitude, and strong motivational skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Self-driven, results-oriented, and hands-on, with an attention to detail
Fluency in English; in German a plus
