Proclinical are recruiting an Application Scientist for a medical devices and technology organisation. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in Basel. The client is focused on delivering solutions for organisations in biotech and pharmaceutical.

**Responsibilities**:

- Serve as a delegate for the organisation throughout client visits, scientific meetings, and trade shows.
- Evolve and offer training and workshops to personnel.
- You will offer technical and scientific knowledge to clients as well as sales personnel.
- May hand project management from time to time.
- Enable and plan amalgamated solutions for clients.
- Travel for business needs up to 20% of the time.

**Skills & Requirements**:

- Educated to an advanced degree in a life science or similar discipline such as cheminformatics, bioinformatics or chemistry, or ideally with a chemistry background.
- Familiarity with cheminformatics.
- At least 3 years of experience within an industrial organisation in drug discovery or a similar topic.
- Fluency in the English language.
- An organised individual with the ability to present well and communicate well both verbally and written.
- Capable of performing studies self-sufficiently.
- Know-how of scripting languages.
- Prior involvement with databases such as RDBMS.
