Job description

3Brain is looking for a full-time Field Application Scientist for its R&D office in Italy

(Genova) who will work with our scientific team to support customer projects, answer

technical questions, and find creative approaches to solve customer needs concerning

supervision and the maintenance of a cell culture laboratory, including the

between science and sales, working closely with external customers and performing

products and tools.

Main responsibilities:

- Develop an extensive experimental knowledge of the 3Brain’s products and of- Perform experimental tests with diverse cell preparations and cell models (e.g.,
- cultures, spheroids, organoids) on 3Brain’s measurement systems.- Supervising and maintaining a cell culture laboratory, dealing with the culture

of adherent mammalian cell lines and iPSCs.
- Process experimental results, perform statistical analysis, prepare, and present

reports.

- Organization of daily research activities, managing project priorities and

deadlines, identifying, and resolving instrumentation issues, arranging
maintenance contracts and servicing.
- Routine laboratory maintenance including for example: changing filters, gas
- tanks, cleaning machines, ordering equipment supplies and reagents.- Scientific consulting and professional service activities for our worldwide

Required Qualifications
- PhD degree in molecular biology / biomedical sciences / neurobiology /
- biomedical engineering.- 2+ years of laboratory experience in primary and hIPS cell culturing.
- used in in-vitro neurobiology.- Experience with either microelectrode array (MEA), calcium imaging or patch
- clamp recordings.- Knowledgeable about statistical analysis tools.
- Proficient working in a Windows environment.
- Full proficiency or mother tongue in English.
- Highly motivated self-starter and problem solver.

Additional Qualifications
- Strong molecular and biochemical background.
- 1+ years of laboratory experience on cell-based assays for compound

screening.
